Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. It is believed that she was the one responsible for initiating the modern study of the memory of witnesses and the role of children in witnessing. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants and is the recipient of numerous awards international and national levels. She has worked with many organisations and governments around the globe on policy and research relating to children who have been victimized by the justice system. Additionally, she provides consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
